Kerala Govt. Decides to Waive off Luxury Tax during offseason for Hotels & Resorts

Kerala Government is Becoming Pro Tourism – Govt. Decides to Waive off Luxury Tax during offseason for Hotels & Resorts.

Finance Minister Shri K.M Mani today announced in his budget speech about the tax waiver during off season. This will definitely promote the tourism industry, to survive by reducing the cost. Kerala, at present, is the most expensive destination, in terms of taxes and other cost. Therefore the significance of Kerala Tourism was declining for the last few years. The growth rate of the tourism industry was not reasonable in comparison with other states.

We Salute our Chief Minister Mr Ommen Chandy,Finance Minister Shri K M Mani, Tourism Minister Shri Anil Kumar and the Tourism Secretary Shri Suman Billa IAS, for their support to this first ever and the great step of the Kerala Govt by waiving the luxury tax during off season. This will definitely help the Kerala Tourism to attract more guests to visit Kerala, resulting more revenue and employment.
